Birthday Party Ideas - Paying Attention to Detail

Some people that organize things better than others. I have always been someone that can plan, manage and carry off most type of events from fund raisers involving several hundred participants to intimate dinner parties. I think the reason behind this is that I love to pay attention to detail. I have always been like this. I notice little details from what is in a room to what a person is wearing to what color eyes have. I have used these skills to be rather successful as a corporate event planner as well as a party planner in my private life.

I seem to become the go person when it comes to birthday party ideas as well as ideas for anniversary and retirement parties. Whenever I get stressed at work my husband tells me to quit the hassle of corporate and take up one of the many offers I have had from caterers to be their party planner. I have considered some of these offers from time to time; however it is hard to give up the security and income that I get from being involved with a large corporation. I love getting involved in different parties and other events, however I am a part of the corporation so I see the on-going effect that my efforts of raising funds has. If I would only plan and arrange different parties and events. I would not have any on-going feeling of satisfaction that something important was going to happen as a result of my efforts.

Planning a Surprise Birthday Party

A few weeks ago my sister called me for gift ideas for her husband's birthday party. He was going to be sixty-one. He did not want anything special for his sixtieth birthday party last year. My sister has never been able to surprise him in all the years they have been married. She wanted me to help her pull off a surprise party for him. I told her that I would have to think about some different ways that we could pull off a surprise for him. I told her I liked the fact that she was doing this on a year other than one ending in a zero or five because people were more on guard during those years. My brother-in-law is quite a prankster so I knew I would be able to enlist the help of many people to pull of different birthday party ideas. I have given my sister a few different ideas to consider for the event. Once she gives me her decision I will start the planning. I am glad that I found a way to put my skills to work.
